The Wolverine Will Have To Claw His Way Out of A POW Camp

With only one week until filming begins on the Australia set of The Wolverine, our sneaky little news machines are in high  gear, and we’ve managed to get our hands on a behind the scenes look at one very peculiar location that Director James Mangold will be using.

Here’s the photo that our sources were able to grab:

If you can leverage your magnifying glass to the right angle, you can just barely identify a few military items littering the set. Now, Fox refuses to spill the beans about this tiny bit of evidence we have, but one particular reporter claims it’s a WW II camp used for prisoners of war.

Knowing that this film is based on Chris Claremont’s seminal Japan saga, which never so much as flashed back to the 1940’s, you can’t help but wonder what type of zany reason Hugh Jackman will find himself in the muck and the mire as a POW.

My prediction…

A Captain America cameo, ignoring the obvious plot holes and legal discrepancies of course.
