The Voice Of PARANORMAN Joins DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

Ahead of the casting of Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) in the lead of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and some brief plot details, it appears the second actor has joined the sequel to the 2011 surprise hit Rise of the Planet of the Apes – Kodi Smit-McPhee.

The actor has been on a roll recently, voicing the main character in the stop-motion animation Paranorman (which I watched last night) and starring in the horror flick Let Me In, also directed by Matt Reeves, who’s helming Dawn.

It’s unknown who Smit-McPhee is playing – other than that he is one of the leads – although a lot of fans have already begun to speculate that he’ll be playing the son of Clarke’s character, giving the film a very grounded and human element. Whoever he ends up playing, the actor appears to be yet another young rising star.
