The Saga Continues With… SHARKTOPUS VS WHALEWOLF!

Art is dead.

Weekends are always slow for news, so here at UTF we’ve decided to sell out completely (if that was even possible) and cover this. Remember the other day when I wrote about the Sharknado 3 trailer and mentioned all those cheesy shark movies? This is one of them.

Sharktopus has had two movies so far. The first, aptly-titled Sharktopus, aired in 2010 and starred Eric Roberts, giving it some degree of legitimacy. The second aired last August, Sharktopus vs Pteracuda, featuring a cameo by Conan O’Brien. There’s no word on whether this will be the conclusion in the epic, critically-acclaimed trilogy, however if you’re a fan of genetically-engineered-hybrids rendered in poor CGI fighting each other on the SyFy channel then you’d best hope that there’ll be a fourth movie out in the near future. What could it be? A crossover with Sharknado?

Hey, I might have just come up with a cool idea. A shared universe of terrible monster movies, leading up to an epic mano-mano movie – Sharknado vs Sharktopus vs Mega Shark vs Nazi Zombies vs Pteracuda vs Batman. Somebody get SyFy on the line.

I mean, come on, this looks f&#king awesome. Sure, the CGI is terrible, the acting is terrible and the screenplay is the equivalent of a strip of piss, but who WOULDN’T want to see a shark-octupus monster fight a whale-wolf monster?! The latter idea is so completely stupid and ridiculous – I love it. I can’t wait to watch this.

Sharktopus vs Whalewolf airs on the SyFy channel July 19th. You’d be a fool to miss it.
