The CW Has Picked Up Arrow For A Full Series!

It’s confirmed! DC Comics is set to have another one of their characters hit the small screen in the form of Arrow, which has been picked up by the CW. Details at the moment are scarce (except that it’s being picked up, of course) but stay tuned to UTF as this story develops.

The series is an adaptation of the DC Comics character Green Arrow, and stars Stephen Amell as the lead character. As you can see from the banner above, the show is aiming for a dark tone and is seperate from Smallville. DC has attempted at making plenty of TV shows about their characters over the years, and obviously they weren’t very successful. Pilots for potential series’ about Wonder Woman and Aquaman have surfaced, but they were terrible and failed (hell, the Wonder Woman pilot didn’t even get shown on TV).

Expect a full announcement to be made on the 17th of May, as that’s when the OFFICIAL announcement was supposed to be madeĀ  – but Green Arrow TV leaked it early, and expect even more details to leak over the coming days. Do you want to see Arrow? I sure as hell do. The series looks fantastic and I’m pretty sure bows and arrow’s are making a comeback this year, with the usage of them in hit movie such as Marvel’s The Avengers and The Hunger Games. Sound off with your thoughts below.
