THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 To Shoot in February

The as-yet untitled sequel (but we’ll just call it The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – or considering the latest trends in film titling, something along the lines of The Amazing Spider-Knight Rises into Darkness) to The Amazing Spider-Man has been generating a lot of press recently, for good and bad reasons. Jamie Foxx’s casting as Electro is certainly controversial – and whilst the inclusion of Mary Jane Watson and Harry Osborn (played by Shailene Woodley and Dane DeHaan) isn’t surprising, it’s still big news.

And now finally, we have confirmation of when the sequel will shoot, courtesy of a casting call for a stand-in for Shailene Woodley – which reveals that the sequel will shoot from next February to next July in London (for a portion of the filming). So, expect to see the usual abundance of shooting reports, spoilery videos and pictures of Andrew Garfield swinging that look pretty dodgy.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: (Re-Enter Electro) will be released on 2 May, 2o14.
