Superbowl Trailer Roundup

We have already shown you the Avengers trailer that aired at this years SuperBowl but an inside source has revealed to me that other movie trailers were also shown (who knew right!?) Anyway we have compiled all the trailers in one handy place for you to peruse at leisure. You may notice a significant omission, for some bizarre reason the studio behind Hunger Games, the same studio who paid a fortune to get the trailer shown during the SuperBowl, wants no one else to see the trailer and has subsequently made YouTube disable all embedding on the aforementioned trailer, so you know what? Don’t bother, yeah it looks kinda good, but any movie studio dumb enough to stop people sharing a trailer for their movie doesn’t deserve your money, wait for it to arrive on tv for free (or in a bargain bin somewhere) and spent your money on something better…. hey I hear there is a sale on bikini waxes at the moment…

John Carter

Disney’s adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs ‘A Princess of Mars’ stars Taylor Kitsch as the titular hero, a former Confederate captain who is transported to Mars where he becomes part of a conflict between the various nations of the planet.

The Dictator

The latest film written by and starring British funny man Sacha Baron Cohen (Ali G, Borat, Bruno) which tells the heroic story of a dictator, Admiral General Alladeen, who risks his life to ensure that democracy never comes to the country he so lovingly oppresses.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax

The latest Dr. Seuss creation to get the big screen treatment, the film features Danny DeVito perfectly cast as The Lorax, a grumpy yet charming forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope. The animated adventure follows the journey of a 12-year-old as he searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, a creature who fights to protect his world.

Battleship

Apparently based on the classic table top game (we don’t remember Aliens featuring in the game at all!) the second SuperBowl trailer to star Taylor Kitsch, this time as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones, who engage in battle with alien species known as “The Regents” at Pearl Harbour. The film also stars Liam Neeson and Rihanna.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation

The sequel to 2009′s lackluster summer action flick G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, adds veteran action star Bruce Willis and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to the mix. The film picks up from the end of the last outing and features the G.I. Joe Team coming into conflict with Zartan, Storm Shadow and Firefly, whilst the trailer features a bizarre quote by legendary philosopher Jay-Z… oh wait.
