Simon Pegg Says Khan Isn’t The Villain Of Star Trek 2

“It is Khan. Wait, no it’s not. Yes it is!” That’s what the internet has been debating for about a year. I can’t really describe it, but pretty much every rumour to come out of the set of Star Trek II has said Benedict Cumberbatch is playing Khan, which is always quickly denied by the people involved. In an interview with The Telegraph, Scotty actor Simon Pegg put the rumours and speculation to rest, but sadly didn’t offer any hints as to who actually is the villain.

“It’s not Khan. That’s a myth. Everyone’s saying it is, but it’s not. I think people just want to have a scoop. It annoys me – it’s beyond the point to just ferret around for spoilers all the time to try to be the first to break them.”

I really don’t care, to be honest. I’m not a Trekkie in the slightest (although I did enjoy the reboot) but the prospect of Cumberbatch playing Khan, hell Cumberbatch simply being in the movie, excites me. Who do you think is the villain of Star Trek II? Sound off below.
