Screenshot, Release Date, and More Revealed for Upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE FLASHPOINT PARADOX Film!

DC and Warner Bros’ animatred DTV DCU lineup has been mostly amazing, and it seems that the quality won’t be dropping anytime soon. And with Superman: Unbound due in a few weeks, it was about time that we got some more info concerning the next animated DVD film, Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, which adapts, obviously, the Flashpoint arc from the comics. You know, the famous/infamous arc that led the way to DC’s New 52 reboot of the comic universe. I know many people will be interested in this film for that one reason, so let us not waste anymore time!

Flashpoint Paradox will be avilable to watch on Blu-ray and DVD discs, digital download, and OnDemand television in the United States on July 30 of this year. If you don’t want to buy the Blu-ray or DVD seperately, you can buy a combo-pack which brings both (I have a feeling it will also bring the download version). And here is the first released screen-shot:

Pretty cool looking, I’d say! The animation, like most of the DTVs, will probably look great! Warner Bros. has also released a summary:

When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for The  Flash and his family, the ripples of the event prove disastrous as a fractured,  alternate reality now exists where a Justice League never formed, and even  Superman is nowhere to be found. Teaming with a grittier, more violent Dark  Knight and Cyborg, Flash races to restore the continuity of his original  timeline while this new world is ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman’s  Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans. With breath taking action and an all-star voice cast, it’s a bold, emotional vision  that will forever change the landscape of the DC Universe.

Sounds good, sounds good. I’m a sucker for good alternate reality stories (Crisis on Multiple Earths, anyone?) and Flash finally getting his own film makes me want to see this even more! Meanwhile, some of the voice cast has been revealed. Kevin Conroy will return to voice Batman again; the twist is, he isn’t voicing the main universe Batman, but an alternate one! Ron Perlman will reprise the role of Deathstroke, who he voiced in Teen Titans, and Dana Delany is finally voicing Lois Lane again; she previously voiced Lois in the DCAU. The latest confirmed casting is Vanessa Marshall as Wonder Woman.

Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert created the original comic. Anwyay, all this seems awesome! A Flash movie? Conroy, Perlman, and Delany reprising their best roles? Alternate universes? YES, I will buy this day one!
