Robert Downey Jr Injured On Set Of IRON MAN 3; Filming Temporarily Halted

At San Diego Comic-Con this year, Robert Downey Jr stressed that he wants to get as involved as possible in the stunts for Iron Man 3, and because of that the actor has injured his ankle on set and filming has been temporarily halted while he recovers. Thankfully it’s nothing too major and he should be back as the billionaire, playboy, philantropist in no time. Read the official statement from Marvel Studios via SuperHeroHype below:

Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt. There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.
