Paul Rudd Is Too Ripped for His ANT-MAN Costume

As comic book fans and moviegoers, we understand that no matter how much they work out, actors are never going to completely match the Olympic level frames of our favorite superheroes. Because of that, we are used to them wearing costumes with padded muscles. That is not the case for Paul Rudd, who’s playing Scott Lang in Marvel’s upcoming film Ant-Man. His co-star Michael Douglas, who plays original Ant-Man Henry Pym, said the costume actually had to be altered because he has enough muscles! The legendary actor spoke to MTV News recently about his latest film The Reach and how he won’t be wearing the Ant-Man suit, leaving that responsibility to Rudd (and his stunt double).

“Paul is ripped. He [is] so cut, that they had to soften his costume up, with all the built-in six-packs and all of that.”

I guess playing a small superhero doesn’t mean you have to have a small frame. Nice to know that Rudd, who’s known for his comedic roles, is taking this role so seriously. Now if we could only get news about a Wasp costume on set…
