Nolan and 007? A Match Made in Fanboy Heaven?

There are only a few earthly delights as amazing as Christopher Nolan‘s take on our favorite Caped Crusader, but if recent rumors are true, Batman might be bumped from his lofty perch.  The director recently stated interest in helming a James Bond flick.  Yep, that’s right.

Nolan.  Bond.  NERDGASM.

He’s displayed an affinity for Britain’s greatest spy for some time, but now that his Batman films have finally kicked the bucket (or so we think), the prospect of a Nolanized 007 is suddenly feasible and dare I say… likely?

With a powerhouse director like ol’ Chrissy boy begging to take over your franchise, how could you say no?

Sure, Daniel Craig and crew have done a tremendous job with the last 2 flicks (and it looks like they’ve done a bang up job with Skyfall, as well), but none of the films have been billion dollar blockbusters, which is an attribute TDKR director could definitely add.

Even Tom Hardy, a two time Nolan collaborator, has expressed interest in serving the Queen in a new 007 flick. So what do you think? Is this a step in the right direction for Mr. “Shaken, not Stirred”? Or should it stay as is?
