Sure to piss off Hulk and Marvel fans alike, Kevin Fiege has revealed in an interview that there will be no sequel to 2008’s The Incredible Hulk until after the release of The Avengers 2 in May 2015. There were previously rumours that due to the success of Hulk in The Avengers, Marvel Studios would quickly try and slip one in for early 2015 as an addition to Phase II, but that’s obviously not the case. Fiege also talks about the potential for movies based on Planet Hulk and World War Hulk.

“I don’t think there’s a lot that we couldn’t do someday, as the cinematic universe continues to grow and expand and get as big as the comic book universe. Planet Hulk’ is a cool story. ‘World War Hulk’ is a cool story. I think there’s pitfalls of continuity-overload, and mythology getting so dense that it almost collapses in on itself,” he added. “It happens every few decades or so in the comics. Apart from that, I’d say everything is on the table.”

“Do I think Hulk can carry a movie and be as entertaining as he was in ‘Avengers’? I do believe that. I do believe he absolutely could. We certainly are not even going to attempt that until ‘Avengers 2. So there’s a lot of time to think about it.”

I’d love to see adaptations of both, Planet Hulk in particular, but my one fear is that audiences will see it as another John Carter-style movie (which I hated) and barely anyone will see it, so I don’t know if Disney will be willing to invest in another movie like it. There’s a Incredible Hulk 2 and Norton is signed on again to play Bruce Banner .

That’s not been reported anywhere. As well, it’s so incredibly unlikely, that it’s almost entirely bogus.

Marvel would first have to commit to producing a sequel to THE INCREDIBLE HULK. Then, Ruffalo would either have to die or have a falling out with Marvel to free up the spot. And to make it even more preposterous, Edward Norton would have to resolve his problems with Kevin Feige and staff.

      Not likely.

I believe its not up to Kevin fegie because its up to Gale Ann Hurd to have Norton return back to said so Gale Ann Hurd in Valhalla motion pictures

Accept Edward Norton Refused the role to play Hulk for the Avengers or sequels there after. Norton is out, and Ruffalo is in. While Norton is an amazing actor, and has had his amazing films, I think I speak for all fans when I say Ruffalo was a much better choice. If there were a sequel snuck in, Ruffalo is guaranteed the spot by default. No one would see Norton as the Hulk again after seeing Avengers. It wouldn’t make much sense.

I know that Edward Norton the Incredible Hulk 2 will come until after the Avengers 2.
