There’ve been feint whispers of a possible Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot floating around the web for a while. Paramount’s recent selection of Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans, Battle LA) was another promising decision that added gas to the fanboy fire, but like all great things, this seemed too good to be true.
Well, today Paramount has officially marked the new TMNT for a December 25, 2013 release date… which means that it’s actually happening! That’s right, the X-Men won’t be the only muties on the silver screen anymore. Now… I wonder if they’ll still use those suits? In this day and age of computer generated graphics, four guys in turtle suits gallivanting around the sewers could look pretty weird.
