Soundgarden has just released their new video for the track “Live to Rise”, from the Avengers movie soundtrack and featuring a few shots that, unless you’ve already seen the film, are somewhat new. Check it out below:
So, what do you think? It’s not the best song the band has ever recorded(coming from someone who owns their entire discography), but it’s a fitting anthem for the film it represents. This is a double-whammy for me because not only does it contain scenes from The Avengers, it is also Soundgarden’s first new song in 15 years. One of the greatest rock bands of all time, and one of the greatest voices in popular music, combined with one of, if not THE BEST superhero movie ever? What’s not to love?
