New BATMAN Easter Egg Spotted in MAN OF STEEL. Is That The BURTON Logo?

The internet’s been abuzz over the past month, desperately studying Man of Steel for any signs of Easter Eggs or unseen cameos, and while we’ve all recognized the fairly obvious appearance of the LexCorp logo and the Wayne Enterprises satellite, there’s one tiny Batman-centric bit we’ve over looked.

In the midst of Superman’s hectic final battle with General Zod, while the latter carefully decapitates a skyscraper with his heat vision, a “Keep Calm and Call Batman” poster can be seen in the background.

Director Zack Snyder talked about the Easter Egg briefly in an interview with Empire Magazine:

When Zod’s tearing the building apart with his heat vision, there’s a Be Calm And Call Batman sign on the wall there, just really small. You might even have to stop the movie to see it but it’s definitely in there. That’s a Double Negative Productions [Easter Egg]. D Neg is the visual effects company here in London that worked on all the Dark Knight movies, and they definitely did that. And [when I saw it], I was like, “That’s awesome.”

Hmmm, is that the Tim Burton era logo I see? Looks like a bit of brand confusion, to me. Considering that they’ve already included one Nolanverse Easter Egg in the film (with the Wayne satellite), this black and yellow addition is a bit intrusive.

BUT… it’s still a fun wink and nod to Bruce Wayne, which I’m sure everyone will enjoy.
