MEN IN BLACK 4 Gets A Writer

This is what I consider well-timed news. I got the treat of being able to watch Men in Black 3 tonight for the first time, and I REALLY enjoyed it. Great script, acting, action and surprisingly heartfelt – so it was funny for me to head over to Twitter and see the news that Sony had hired a writer to pen a fourth instalment in the franchise.

Oren Uziel, who also scripted Sony’s upcoming horror/comedy The Kitchen Sink, has been tapped for writing duties on both MIB4 and to rewrite the sequel to 21 Jump Street, due for release next summer. Details are being kept under wraps but I’d say it’s a very safe bet that director Barry Sonnenfeld and stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will be returning.
