Despite being formally announced at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, with a banner and test reel to go with it, no release date was set by Marvel for Ant-Man. Since director Edgar Wright has been dragging his feet on the project for about ten years, it was just assumed that was the reason. Well, it seems the studio have finally made him get off his ass and start making the damn thing, as it was revealed today via Exhibitor Relations that Ant-Man will be released November 6th 2015, which is AFTER the release of The Avengers 2.
Marvel’s ANT-MAN will infest theaters on 11/6/15.

Additionally, the site also revealed that the studio will release Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World in 3D, although that was expected.
Marvel’s IRON MAN 3 & THOR 2 will be released in 3D. No word yet on CAP’N AMERICA 2, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, or ANT-MAN.

As the movie releases after The Avengers 2 (which is more than likely to be the conclusion of Phase II), I guess Ant-Man will kick off Phase III. But will he appear in the next superhero team-up movie? Only time will tell! Share your thoughts in the comments below.
