MAN OF STEEL Toys Finally Give Us a Good Look at Villains Zod and Faora

We’ve been diving into our inner child today as we browse the latest releases from Toy Fair 2013 (which honestly isn’t too difficult to accomplish considering our interests), and besides getting our hands on the latest photos of THOR : THE DARK WORLD action figures, we’ve managed to sneak a peek at Superman’s lineup. Up to this point, MAN OF STEEL has been tightly under lock and key. Even though the film debuts in four months, Nolan and his cohorts have refused to release any juicy deets about the reboot. I can just imagine him sitting beside director Zac Snyder in the editing room, twirling his imaginary mustache, snorting a fresh cut line of Earl Grey Tea, and wallowing in our geeky frustration. You know… as British folks do.

This first pair of photos features Superman’s pappy, Jor-El. He’s looking rather regal, in that oh so “I’m totally not ripping off the Necromongers from Chronicles of Riddick” type of way.

In all seriousness, though, the design behind Zod’s armor is pretty innovative, considering that Hollywood has such a hard time not copying Iron Man whenever a Sci-Fi character wears a body suit.

The last few pics feature Faora, another Kryptonian immigrant, who’ll probably lay into Supes with a few jaw shocking shots.  She’s the outer space bound Debbie Downer of the lot, but I suspect Lois Lane will set her straight at some point int the movie.
