Lionsgate Sets Writer For Two-Part Finale THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hasn’t even begun filming yet, but Lionsgate are already making preperations for their final instalment in the lucrative franchise, Mockingjay. It was revealed a while ago that the studio were following in the steps of Twilight and Harry Potter by making their last movie a two-parter (for monetary purposes), and now they have a writer tapped. Two-time Emmy winner Danny Strong is set to write the last two movies, although I’ve no idea if he’ll do a good job.

Catching Fire is set to hit theaters November 20 2013, while Part 1 will be released November 21 2014 and Part 2 will come out on November 20 2015 respectively. I honestly don’t know what to think, but it’s clear that Lionsgate want to get the ball rolling on everything Hunger Games-related very quickly. What do you think? Sound off below.
