Joe And Anthony Russo Tapped To Direct Captain America 2

The past few days have been pretty big for comic book movie apatations. Yesterday we learned that Justice League, Wonder Woman and Black Panther were all getting the big screen treatment, and Variety reports today that Joe and Anthony Russo (Community) are in final negotiations with Marvel to direct Captain America II.

COMMUNITY producers Joe and Anthony Russo are in final negotiations to direct CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 for Marvel and Disney. The studio had no comment. Duo are repped by WME and 3 Arts Entertainment. More to come …

The pair are obviously more known for comedy work, having made You, Me and Dupree. It’s a shame though, as George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau) was also in the running for director, and I really thought he would get the gig. What do you think? Sound off below.
