Jena Malone Bags The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Role

Last week we reported that Zoe Aggeliki was the frontrunner for the role of Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, but THR is now saying that’s not the case, and instead Jena Malone (who was also in consideration) has been cast. The only previous high-profile film Malone has starred in is Sucker Punch, although I haven’t seen that movie so can’t comment on her acting skills.

There’s certainly been a lot of back-and-forth in regards to who will play the character, as the role was apparently a highly sought after one, and the character has a pretty big role in both sequels to The Hunger Games.
