Jamie Foxx Looks Hilariously Geeky As Electro in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Still

Marc Webb’s just released the first photo of Jamie Foxx as the lightning hurling villain Electro in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, and I must say, the Oscar winning thespian’s seen better days. Between the sheepish combover, those ‘Weird Science‘ style glasses, and an obvious obsession with with our favorite wall crawler (check out those Japanese posters on the wall… or at least, I think they’re Japanese), Foxx has completely transformed into the loser-ish Max Dillon, aka Electro.

Ooof… did anyone else cringe a bit? I hope Director Marc Webb will ham the role up with the tired “semi-autistic/anti-social scientist” trope? While that wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world, I’d much prefer if Foxx delivered an altogether original performance, instead of something we’ve seen in movies past.

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough.
