Now here’s an interesting bit of news. Latino Review have broken the news that Marvel are set to make the announcement at SDCC this summer that Guardians of the Galaxy will be the second 2014 movie released by the studio that year, but where does that leave Black Panther? In case you’ve been living in a cave for quite a while, Latino Review reported last month that the Wakandan king would have his own movie in 2014, so it is a little confusing. But wait, there’s more!
- – It will be announced as Marvel’s second 2014 movie at Comic Con
- – Thanos is in it.
- – It will “lead up to” The Avengers 2 in 2015.
- – ”THE SCRIPT IS INCREDIBLE”
I have no idea where this leaves Black Panther and Ant-Man, but these are two different reports by two different writers who work for the same site. One is wrong, but at the minute all is guesswork. Anyway, here are some more details from the site regarding the movie:
- The end credits scene at the end of The Avengers was both a teaser for ‘Avengers 2′ AND ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’
- The Guardians being added to the Unified Universe means the theorhetical chronological order of Marvel Unified Movie Universe Phase 2 is: ‘Iron Man 3′ ‘Thor 2′ ‘Captain America 2′ ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ Hulk gets the shaft.
- If I were to point you in the direction of a comic to read to theorize what Guardians of the Galaxy would be about, I’d suggest you go buy The Thanos Imperative.
- Nova. Expect Nova. There’s got to be a reason that Nova keeps showing up in stuff like Disney’s Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel’s AvX. He’s not a Guardian per se, but he’s the most recognizable Marvel space character to the all-important “we’re young and buy toys” demographic.
Which movie would you like to see? Guardians of the Galaxy or Black Panther? Sound off below!
