Is Andrew Garfield Preparing for Avengers 2?

Remember all the speculation surrounding Spidey’s potential involvement in this year’s Avengers flick? Well… the rumor mill is in full swing with the latest picture of the wall crawler himself, Andrew Garfield, clutching a hand full of comics.

Comics which star… THANOS!

Could it be? Will the wise cracking web slinger from Queens swing into Marvel’s mighty Avengers 2? Or is this just a bunch of wild shenanigans meant to stir up publicity.

Being the douchey realist that I am, I think it’s fair to say that this was a brazen stunt on Sony’s part to turn attention towards The Amazing Spider-Man (debuting July 4th holiday weekend).

Still… we few fanboys can always dream!
