Ever since the cheesy ending to last year’s The Amazing Spider-Man (“Don’t make promises you can’t keep Mr. Parker.” “But those are the best kind.”) fans have been speculating that the sequel’s third act will partly be an adaptation of the acclaimed, spoiler-filled-title comics event The Night Gwen Stacy Died, to allow room for Shailene Woodley’s MJ Watson to make her move and to screw up Peter Parker’s life even more.
However, these latest batch of set photos actually support that theory and it’s already being speculated widely across the net that Gwen Stacy will indeed be killed in the movie. The clothes Emma Stone’s wearing in this scene are the exact same as Stacy was wearing when she was killed on the bridge by Green Goblin in the comic, so even though this is really flimsy information it’s just another pointer towards that specific comic being adapted (the other being Norman Osborn being a part of the film). Check them out below:
So while the costumes aren’t exactly identical, they’re VERY similar. What do you think? Do you want to see Gwen Stacy kick the bucket in The Amazing Spider-Man 2? Share your thoughts below!
