Guillermo Del Toro Wants CONSTANTINE To Lead JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK

Convention veteran Guillermo Del Toro wandered around the hallowed halls of WonderCon earlier today, promoting his Kaiju stomping feature film Pacific Rim. While the Spanish director was rambling about this little romp, our friends at CBT were able to distract him with a quick question about Justice League Dark, a supernatural team-up flick starring DC’s otherworldly heroes.

Surprisingly, the project’s moved along quite a bit, which is most certainly cause for celebration, especially since Toro’s notorious for bailing on every single project he starts.  Here’s the full statement from CBT:

Del Toro has one more movie and then he’s hoping to get a screen writer soon to be annouced for Justice League Dark to write said screenplay and the main plan is to have Constantine as the lead character in it.

He’s ecstatic to have the ability to do the movie etc and he’s looking forward to using Etrigan and Deadman.

Exciting news! Do you think Keanu Reaves will return to Constantine? Or will WB and crew choose an entirely new actor (I nominate Bradley Cooper… although I rather he play Doctor Strange)?
