GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Test Footage Shows Badass Rocket Raccoon And Groot

Guardians of the Galaxy doesn’t hit theaters until August, but the first trailer is expected to drop next week. It’s typical of superhero films to get their first trailers about five to six months before their release date. However, if you’re looking for a quick taste of what we’ll be getting in the upcoming galactic adventure, check out this test animation featuring the team’s arguably two most popular members: Rocket Raccoon and Groot. Thanks to the good folks over at The Daily Superhero for uploading these gifs of the footage.

Seriously, GOTG, just shut up and take my money now! Rocket Raccoon is just as awesome as I expected him to be, and I’m digging his automatic weapon. After all, it wouldn’t be Raccoon if he wasn’t shooting wildly at his enemies. Now I’m even more curious to hear what Bradley Cooper’s Raccoon voice will sound like.

Groot looks cool as well, although I wish I could hear Vin Diesel yell “I AM GROOT!” while he’s fighting. For Marvel to higher such a high profile actor and have him speak only three lines for the entire movie, it’s going to be interesting hearing all his different intonations.
