Getcha First Look at BLACK PANTHER!!!

Your first blurry and smartphone-taken look, might I add.

The King of Wakanda himself will be playing a pretty pivotal role in next year’s Captain America: Civil War but nobody’s really been able to piece together what he’ll be doing. His character will be neutral in the superhero conflict so some theorized that he could be playing peacemaker, or perhaps the inciting event for the MCU-fied-Registration Act (which is now apparently Crossbones being a suicide bomber) is somehow related to Wakanda and he gets drawn into things. This first look at him might give you some idea of his allegiances…

Yup, that’s the Winter Soldier himself there. The characters are scaling a building in Berlin, where the movie’s currently shooting. The “why?” of all that is still a mystery but it’s certainly interesting because it would seem that T’Challa and Bucky are directly working together, something not many fans had predicted. In the early days there were some rumours and theories floating around that HYDRA’s monkey would be hiding out in Wakanda, which could end up being true.

As for the suit itself? I like it. People around the interwebs are complaining that it looks unfinished, but they’re forgetting that this was taken on a phone side-on and it’ll probably end up being touched up with CGI anyway. Black Panther could have also just come out of a brawl or something like that, adding to that tattered look. There’s tons of explanations, and we’re not gonna know which is right until we get a full HD look. It does look pretty similar to the original concept art, though.
