Get Ready For Michael Bay To Ruin Your Childhood All Over Again

As you all know, a new movie based on the classic 80’s comic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is scheduled for Christmas 2013, directed by Johnathan Liebesman (Battle: LA, Wrath of the Titans) and is being produced by *shudders* Michael Bay. Speaking at some Nickelodeon event in New York, Bay said that the Turtles in his movie will be from an alien race. Words really can’t express how I feel about this. Just watch it below:

Michael Bay talks Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by stuffwelike

“When you see this movie, kids will believe one day that these turtles do exist, when we’re done with this movie. These turtles are from an alien race, and they’re going to be tough, edgy, funny, and completely lovable.”

Share your thoughts on this in the comments below, although I think I can make a pretty good guess as to what they are.

I have been reborn amidst salt and smoke to lead UTF against the darkness. I'm also an amateur writer and filmmaker as well as having played the 16th Doctor and invented penicillin. Also, deceased.

If they actually stick with this origin I will not watch the movie. Aside from the new comic series, it seems all other TMNT projects are not going so well. The new cartoon designs looks terrible, Activision was given the game licence, and now alien turtles. So far Nickelodeon is dropping the ball.

When are creative houses going to realize that they destroy their brand every time they rewrite their stories.

I have to agree with you. I don’t understand the whole ‘retell the origins’/’rewrite the origins’ mindset that ever organization has. I mean… they’re teenage mutant ninja turtles for crying out loud, I think we get the gist of it.

Fuck you Michael Bay. And fuck the millions of idiots who go to see his shitty movies who made this possible.

so if they are aliens is it going to be called Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles or are they mutants on their planet too?
