FINALLY! Jay and Silent Bob set to return to the big screen!

Kevin Smith once declared that Jay and Silent Bob, who last appeared in Clerks 2, were done and dusted and would never be heard from again…. then again he said the same thing after Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back came out in 2001.

Well fear not as the stoner duo will grace the big screen again, albeit in animated form, in Jay & Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie, which is scheduled for release in 2013. Die hard fans of Smith’s most famous creations will know that the alter ego’s of Bluntman and Chronic are no strangers to the animated world after their brief foray into television in Clerks the animated series in 2000.

The original animated series was ahead of its time and a firm favourite here at UTF HQ, so we are hoping they keep the same design and style as the last cartoon! Check out a clip from the 2000 series below:
