it somehow sounds nice. If anything, what people want, is millitary, artillery, and even aircraft. In Dark of the Moon, in the beginnng you see some aircraft, a missle, and the turret that slide out of the ARK as it was called. After all that with the Moon Landing, you see alot of weaponry and unit calibration. Optimus’s Weapon Rack, the soldeirs with their Decepticon-shredding guns. Bumblebee and Sideswipe with their Weapon systems, and Ironhides guns.
In my opinion, to reel hundreds of people into this, would be to have a fleet come out of nowhere through the portal caused by the sphere, and then the Autobots, using a worldwide defense system, just kick the Fleet’s ass. And then, it would be one of those moments, to where they thing they’re all done, but then Unicron screeches to Earth as he closes in, and they get that, “let’s do this! ATTACK!” expression, and the movie ends for a part 2 of the movie.

Doesn’t matter that Marvel doesn’t plan to use Circuit Breaker. They still own it, and Marvel’s whole game plan is to profit off of their IP.

If Paramount wanted CB, Marvel would obviously charge for licensing, and they wouldn’t give their deep-pocketed competitor a bargain on the deal. They’d ask for royalties on box office, streaming, and home video, and any other ancillary streams that use the character.

Why would Paramount agree to that, when they can just rewrite the character? It’s possible that the script-writer was inspired by old Marvel TF comics and didn’t know about the rights issue, but as late as November? Doubtful.

Circuit Breaker is a gigantic red flag. Paramount is not going to pay licensing to Marvel to use that character.

If there is any truth to this script at all (which I doubt), expect CB to get transformed significantly or written out altogether.

I think Transformers 4 is going to revolve around The Dinobots and a new group of autobots and I have strong feeling that Hot Rod is going to be in this movie.

Optimus in-between Transformers 4 and 5 is going to die but clearly not by the hands of Megatron.

But to the point… “Go read basic law”

If Paramount wants to use Circuit Breaker (assuming they don’t change the name/attribute the same powers to a new character) then they would buy the licensing rights. I’m sure if this is far enough along, Paramount has entertained paying for the rights to use that character. Why does everyone think that companies (Marvel/Disney in this case) want to horde meaningless characters? Like it would benefit them THAT much. No. They’re concerned with profit. This is the last chance in the next few years to get any serious dough for the licensing of Circuit Breaker, and I’m sure they’d make a deal.

And your misinformed about production budget. It will be almost the same as DARK OF THE MOON (about $30 million less actually).

Oh, and DARK OF THE MOON was the highest grossing Transformers movie yet, by about $300 million dollars, so the series isn’t in decline. There’s no reason to think that Bay and the studio are trimming any real fat this time around. They’re aiming to be just as, or more, successful than last time.

His point is still completely valid while yours is stupid and derogatory. Even if Marvel does not choose to do anything with Circuit breaker – unless Hasbro buy the license then they cannot use Circuit breaker in the film or in any form of media – go read basic law.

Given that the budget of the film has been more than halfed since DOTM it is likely they wont pay for a license to use a Marvel character in the films – especially only as a fan-nod to those who read the original G1 Comics – given that most people would work better if her character was called Sari (Similar to the Animated Transformers series – given that her character is pretty much the same and Hasbro still has rights to that character without having to license them off another company)

For example – many marvel characters have rights to the film sold to different companies. This includes Deadpool`s film originally being given to New Line Cinema. Columbia Pictures (Sony Pictures) had control over Spider-man and Ghost Rider and so on…
