EW Spoils Star Trek Secret. KHAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

Is he? Isn’t he? Is he? Isn’t He?

Is he……

That’s been the cycle of speculation since Benedict Cumberbatch was first revealed as the newest baddie in J. J. Abrams’s rebooted Star Trek series. Even though he’s been given the dubious moniker of “John Harrison” by Mr. ImDirectingStarWarsFuckEveryoneElse, that name is way too benign to be real. They’re hiding something. Something awesome. Something… Khan like.

Well, Entertainment Weekly has just started promoting their Star Trek : Into Darkness edition, and a mindless editor sitting in one of their back offices has made a terrible boo boo. He officially listed Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan on the solicitation material. We were right, everyone else was wrong, suck upon our glorious fanboy… stuff.

All weenie jokes aside, we should probably admit that this could’ve been an innocent typo. BUT, if it wasn’t… then this is amazing news. I only hope that his identity as Khan isn’t used as a lame hat tip to the fans. Imagine Benedict Cumberbatch tries to rent an intergalactic vessel from the local Avis but the clerk can’t find his ID on file.

“You should try my legal name… Khan!”

Sorry, The Dark Knight Rises flashbacks are hitting me hard today.
