Elizabeth Olsen Confirms Playing Scarlet Witch in ‘The Avengers: Age Of Ultron’

Avengers fans assemble! Elizabeth Olsen, star of Martha Marcy May Marlene and sister of Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen, has FINALLY admitted to playing Wanda Maximoff (aka The Scarlet Witch) in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. During an interview with MTV News, she joked about how Samuel L. Jackson’s accidental slip up last month freed her from refusing to talk about the project. Although she claims to not know that many details about the upcoming film, she did speak on working with Aaron Taylor-Johnson (her Godzilla co-star who’s playing Quicksilver in the film) again.

“We get to play husband and wife, and we get to play twin brother and sister. Even though in ‘Godzilla’ we play husband and wife, we don’t have a lot of scenes together.  I’m so excited we get to work with each other more and to actually work with each other. I think it’s going to be fun.”

Now that we know for sure she is playing Scarlet Witch, will Olsen be wearing the classic one piece and a cloak costume from the main Marvel Universe or the leather and combat boots outfit from the Ultimates comics which most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is based on? Only time will tell.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1, 2015. Production is expect to begin in March 2014.
