Wow. Shonen Jump crossovers can be rare, so most fans don’t dare to hope for things like this. Wow. I’m in shock. Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, and Toriko, three of Shonen Jump’s most popular manga titles, in one anime special? Cool!
The special will air on Japanese TV Sunday, April 7th, at 9:00 A.M. The special, which will be one hour, will be divided into two parts. The anime special will be called “Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Chō Collaboration Special!!“
All three manga series ran in Weekly Shonen Jump, and all three anime were animated by Toei Animation, so a crossover for them makes sense. One Piece and Toriko already had a crossover anime special, and Dragon Ball Z and One Piece had a one-chapter manga crossover.
In North America, all three manga series are licensed by Viz Media, and all three anime are licensed by FUNimation Entertainment.
