Did Emma Stone Just Spoil THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2?

If you’re familiar with any rumors regarding The Amazing Spider-Man 2which is currently filming in New York, then you’ll know that a ton of reports have said that Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone, will be kicking the bucket at the end of the movie. Based on Stone’s outfit for a particular scene about a month ago it was thought that the famous scene from The Night Gwen Stacy Died would be adapted by Marc Webb, however in an interview with SFX the actress seems to confirm that Stacy WILL die. Read what she had to say below:

“Essentially the argument is that Spider-Man kills her by accident, so the person she loves is the person who kills her, which is the most horrifying thing. Apparently people unsubscribed to the comic book when that happened because they were just so flipped-out over it. But, of course, I want to stay true to that.”

I expect the Marvel snipers will be after her soon. Granted, this isn’t really a huge shock at all since everybody was expecting it – the question is how much of the comic they will adapt. In that Stacy gets thrown off a bridge by the Green Goblin (played by The Muppets‘ Chris Cooper in the movie) and she dies from the sudden jolt of being caught on one of Spider-Man’s webs. If they keep that last part then I’m sure some annoying parental guidance groups will complain as usual, but it would be shocking to see it on screen.

What do you think? Do you reckon Gwen Stacy will kick the bucket in The Amazing Spider-Man 2? Share your thoughts below.
