Christopher Nolan Chooses Next Project – INTERSTELLAR

Since the release of The Dark Knight Rises, film fans and Nolanites have been heavily speculating what Christopher Nolan’s next project will be. There were rumours floating around that it would be the next James Bond movie, however now it has been confirmed that the director will be tackling a deep space sci-fi movie written by his brother: Interstellar.

The film was originally written for Steven Spielberg back in 2006 – however it has been in limbo for some time. But now it seems that Nolan will make this his next film (a co-production between Paramount and WB) and if we look at it in a similar time frame to the development of Inception, we could see this movie go into production this summer for a Summer ’14 release date.

The plot “involves time travel and alternate dimensions in a story that sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole, however it was revealed last night by Deadline that Nolan will in fact be re-writing the script that includes his original idea of “a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest borders of our scientific understanding.” The script is inspired by the works of scientist Kip Thorne, who originally collaborated with Spielberg to make the film.

What do you think? Are you excited to see Interstellar? I sure as hell am. Share your thoughts below!
