In an interview with Collider (which is yet to spring up online) at the Toronto Film Festival, Chris Evans revealed that filming for Captain America: The Winter Soldier begins in March 2013. This tells us a lot about Marvel’s upcoming filming slate, as there was previously a rumour that Ant-Man would spring into production next January and Edgar Wright would be working around the clock to complete filming on The World’s End, which began this month. The rumour also said that it would film in London, capitalizing on the end of filming/production on Thor: The Dark World.
There was ANOTHER rumour quite a while ago that Captain America: The Winter Soldier would make good use of all the production stuff in Wilmington, North Carolina for Iron Man 3, so I’d bet my hat that both those rumours are true. Filming for Cap 2 will probably end around July freeing up production for Guardians of the Galaxy to begin soon after, ready for SDCC 2013.
Kevin Fiege will be a busy man.
Oh, and you’re welcome.
And for all the Marvel fans…Chris Evans says filming on the CAPTAIN AMERICA sequel begins in March 2013.
