BRYAN CRANSTON Wanted For Lex Luthor

Superman, it’s time to cook!

Warner Bros. have remained mum regarding BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, but that hasn’t stopped the internet from running away with the latest casting rumor, this one centered around our favorite baldie Lex Luthor.

According to Latino Review, who love to stir the ol’ fanboy chum bucket in search of a few extra thousand page views, Bryan Cranston is shining bright on DC’s radar for Lex Luthor. While the meth master isn’t my first choice for the role, since the transformation from Walter White to Lex Luthor wouldn’t be a great leap (give me a risky casting decision like Heath Ledger as Joker!), he’s more than capable of delivering a serviceable villain for DC’s Cinematic Universe.

Now, since Zack Snyder and crew have decided on a Superman villain for their film, who will they select for Batman? As I’ve hinted to earlier, Ledger’s performance as Joker was absolutely mind blowing, and I don’t think DC is too eager to reintroduce that character in the wake of such an iconic iteration. Perhaps The Riddler would be a respectable opponent, but then again, he doesn’t quite stack up to Superman level threats. What about Penguin? He’s a Gotham-esque foil for Luthor and a potential nightmare for both Bats & Supes.

As long as Snyder refrains from using the League of Shadows, then I’ll be more than content. Christopher Nolan really milked those villains for everything they were worth in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises, and they’ve received far more screen time than they’ve ever deserved.
