Rest still, your throbbing loins. That Boba Fett movie which you’ve so long lusted for is finally coming to theatres! And guess what? That really awesome dude who kinda invented the character in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK script is writing the entire flick. That’s Lawnrence Kasdan, if you’ve forgotten his name.
Long time insider Joe Schnepp, the same dude responsible for Metalocalypse, has revealed as much in a recent interview about Star Wars Episode 7 and the rest of the Star Wars spinoff movies. Claiming…
“One of them is Boba Fett,” he said of the planned spin-offs (via Yahoo) “It is. I know. I know for a fact. I will never reveal my source, but it is the one written by Lawrence Kasdan.
Well, that doesn’t leave to much room for debate. Seems Lawrence Kasdan will in fact tackle a Boba Fett movie. I have so many questions! Kasdan’s work on The Empire Strikes Back was arguably one of the darkest transformations on any big screen, family friendly, movie series… but that film’s about as dark as “Dora the Explorer” by today’s standards. Boba Fett’s a naturally grim character, which is kinda his whole schtick as a gun for hire, so I’d hope Kasdan would consider that much and adjust for a modern audience. I’d much rather watch Boba Fett slink around the big screen as an inter-galactic, evil 007 instead of throwing him into his very own kid-friendly action adventure movie.
