True to form, Bishop’s wielding a massive neon gun in this latest photo from Bryan Singer’s DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The time travelling mutant’s always been a fan of elephant-killing projectiles, and even though he’s a bit too “leather clad badass!” for me in these pics, I’m quite alright with his artillery preference.
If you remember Bishop from his comic book origins, then you’ll recall he was born 80 years in the future, when mutants were captive in concentration camps. After his inevitable liberation, he meandered with a few vigilante groups, all of which revered the ancient mutant heroes known as “X-Men”. Through a bit of magic, he traveled through time to the modern Marvel universe, and gallivanted with Storm, Wolverine, and the rest of Xavier’s misfits. His most enduring contribution, though, is his fight against Onslaught, a villain who I’m convinced will appear in the sequel to 2016′s X-Men: Apocalypse.
