Leaked Pic of “The Avengers” Spin-off Film

A couple of months ago, Marvel unveiled a plan for their newest short film that would accompany The Avengers Blu Ray debut, Item 47. Like with their previous attempts (check out the special features on Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger), this new kiddie sized flick would expand on some of the quirkier aspects of the MCU.

So far, Agent Coulson has been the main vehicle for exploration in these mini entries, but now that he’s kicked the bucket (courtesy of the Loki-meister) who will take his place?

Well, if this recent press photo is any indication, then a very Jessica Jones – esque Lizzie Caplan is more than up for the challenge. Check it out below.

Apparently, this short will focus on Caplan and her recent stroke of dumb luck following the Chitauri invasion of New York. She’s happened upon one of their ooey, gooey arm cannons, and she plans to make good use of it. All the while, a pair of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s finest agents are close in pursuit.

I’ll admit, I’m a bit disappointed by the storyline. I’ve been hoping that Item 47 referred to a secret LMD (Life Model Decoy) project which could be used to resurrect my main man Agent Coulson.
