ARMIE HAMMER Was Almost STEAMPUNKY BATMAN in JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie

Here’s a picture of Armie from The Lone Ranger

Armie Hammer’s been hitting the press rounds in preparation for the release of Disney’s THE LONE RANGER, and while the blond beauty (as my girlfriend’s so shamelessly termed him) has tried to focus on this latest flick, our friends at HitFix managed to score a few awesome answers about Hammer’s time as Batman.

Huh? Armie Hammer was Batman?

Well… he was for a brief bit of time. In 2006, Director George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feet) struggled to bring the Justice League to the big screen, and after the proposed budget ballooned past $300 million, the WB cut and ran before they lost too much money. But for that brief bit of time (I believe about 3 months) Armie Hammer trained in Australia as Bruce Wayne/The Caped Crusader/The Dark Knight/The Baterino.

So, when HitFix asked about the cancelled project, Armie Hammer revealed some very awesome tidbits about his garb, indicating that Batman would have sported a mechanically enhanced suit. Considering George Miller’s history with the Mad Max franchise, I wonder if he had transformed Bruce Wayne into Steampunk Batman!?!?!?!

Sounds like Armie Hammer would’ve looked a bit like this version of Steampunk Batman below. Perhaps with a bit more black and gray, though, because that brown just isn’t working.
