The Amazing Spider-Man is the red headed step child of this summer’s blockbuster movies. Sure, the past 3 flicks in the series were some of the most wildly successful films of all time, but in this season of Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises, TASM can’t help but get lost in the fanfare.
Well, with its July 4 release date drawing near, Sony has started to rev up their marketing campaign, and we’ve managed to get our hands on this new promotional image featuring Spidey’s next nemesis… Lizard! Check it out in all of its glory below.
So how do you guys feel about this flick? Do you think Andrew Garfield and Rhys Ifans will “bring it”, or will it be a stinker? I, for one, think it has a ton of potential, but I’m worried that it looks a bit like Nolan’s Batman Trilogy. That doesn’t mean that I hate The Dark Knight Rises or its prequels, but I would just hate for this new Spider-Man film to be unoriginal.
