Anne Hathaway Going INTERSTELLAR With Christopher Nolan

One of the definite highlights of last summer’s The Dark Knight Rises, last night Deadline broke the news that Anne Hathaway is nearing a deal to star opposite Matthew McConaughey in Christopher Nolan’s next movie, Interstellar. McConaughey will play the film’s lead (a scientist called Dr. Cooper), but details about Hathaway’s role have been withheld. Not much is known about the project, except that it’s a “film that will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding.”

The film was written by Jonah Nolan originally intended for Steven Spielberg, but earlier in January it was announced the other Nolan brother was nearing a deal to direct and merge some original ideas he had with the existing script. The movie will hit cinemas November 7 2014.

In my opinion this is an excellent career move for Hathaway. She’s just coming off an Oscar win for Les Miserables and an acclaimed performance as Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises, so taking a part in Nolan’s next movie is guaranteed success.
