Andrew Garfield Wants His SPIDER-MAN in THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Andrew Garfield’s admitted his love for the forbidden Avengers fruit before, but in a recent interview here at San Diego Comic Con, The Amazing Spider-Man actor reiterated his not so secret desire…

“I’d like to see him with The Avengers,” Garfield replied. “Am I not allowed to say that? Wouldn’t that be awesome? Just sayin’.”

Is that so, Garfield?

Since Sony owns the film rights to Spider-Man, I’m certain they would never allow such a thing to happen, even though they’ve collaborated with Marvel Studios in the past (the whole Oscorp tower in The Avengers, and Avengers Tower in The Amazing Spider-Man dealio). Combine that with Hugh Jackman’s statements from a few weeks ago (he wants to be an Avenger too), and we’ve got one of the coolest “never gonna happen” moments in cinematic history.

Although… if Marvel Studios suddenly tumbles from popularity, and they’re absolutely desperate for a hefty payday, they might be tempted to broker a deal with Fox and Sony for a Wolverine, Spider-Man, Avengers crossover flick.  But that’s many many years away, and our favorite superhero actors will probably be long gone…

Except for Hugh Jackman.  He IS The Wolverine.  He should absolutely portray that mutton chopped, spiky fingered mutie until the last breath leaves his body.  There’s no other person for the job, and if you think other wise, well… we’re totally not friends!
