Wraith: Welcome to Christmasland #6 Review

The sinister and dark Christmasland story is coming to a new point, will our “hero’s” make it or will they fall to the evil children within its walls? Read on to find out.

Chapter 5: “Shoot the Moon.” A laughing malevolent moon rises over Christmasland, and turns red snow black, as Agnes Claiborne and Chess Llewellyn make a final doomed, desperate run for freedom. Every cruel child is on the hunt for them; every cruel ride is engineered for their destruction. As if that wasn’t bad enough, King Geek is looking to claim a new title for himself… as the new Lord of Christmasland!

So the world of Christmas land is getting darker and darker every time I peer into its pages but there does seem to be some hope for our characters in this issue Wraith-06-pr-1-34454which is a nice change. It seems that our hero’s are trying their best to escape but with a pesky moon revealing their every moves it is hard for them to get a head but then there is the whole thing of these crazy children just being murderous and that the whole place it rigged to destroy them. However, the gem of this is the fact that someone is trying to take over Christmasland it is the King Geek. The idea of him being the leader is scary enough. I mean it is a nice dynamic. I have to say that the big thing is that the series is kind of getting old. Nothing too exciting is going on and it just seems to be dragging on. There are some great moments but the writing is getting kind of stale, which is too bad because it started so well. I am hoping that this changes.

The art is still on par. The attention to detail with everything going on is perfect, it just fantastic. There are some great characters and a lot going on. The art is a big part of this story and it doesn’t disappoints.

Christmasland is a great story but it is getting kind of stale.
