Will GALACTUS EAT The Ultimate Earth?

Room 6DE 12:30-1:30 hosts the next phase of Marvel’s Ultimate Universe. You better believe writer Brian Michael Bendis will be there, all throughout the week he has been teasing something vague. It has been lighting people like me on fire with the ramifications of what this tease is. What we do now know is that towards the end of Age Of Ultron a hungry Galactus was released into the Ultimate Universe. What we do not know is where the hell Ultimate Thanos is. The character has apparently died, but after much speculation who could possibly think that is true. How many times has Thanos died? This is going to be a major factor going forward because of the massive time stream break in the regular universe. While the piece about the big Ultimate purple cheese is merely speculative what is not, is the information that Bendis had to say about the topic when asked on his tumblr.

BMB.I just read the first trade of Miles Ult-spidey ( trade reader only lol I know..way behind!) Fantastic! I didn’t think any new spidey could compare with ult peter parker but the new kid is growing on me. curious, what issue are u writing now?

On a normal situation I’m about 4 to 5 to maybe six issues ahead of you. but I definitely think you should pay attention to the news that’s coming out of the ultimate universe panel this Friday at San Diego

Or rather the real piece of information, was this picture of Galactus Bendis put up after he answered this question.

This leaves some people to speculate massively for the Hunger title coming up soon from Joshua Fialkov. Could the Ultimate Earth be devoured at the end of the mini-series, my gut says no. The reason why is Miles Morales, his story would not play out well on another world. The universe in which he lives is extremely grounded, and his supporting cast is a major part of the book. It is also worth mentioning that the inclusion of all these different characters in the 616 Earth, would make the planet even more crowded. The more the reader really examines this space, it seems that this becomes untrue. Another proposition that could be more likely is a fundamental change into this space of comic books. The Ultimates has been selling like crap for a long time now. Writers and artists are switching on and off the book in a fashion similar to musical chairs.

So how do a broken universe, a big purple cosmic badass, and a world eater relate to each other? The answer seems slightly blurred, but what seems more likely is bigger separation from the normal continuity. The other planet is always the most interesting when it is completely separate from the normal. Miles Morales is a runaway success story in comic books, will the publisher be trying to replicate that magic further?

Anyway you slice this piece of information this is going to make for one of a hell of a great time in the Marvel U and San Diego in general. Fans should get ready for an informational onslaught in the con.
