Who’s wants to play Black Panther? Anthony Mackie does.

A few months ago we reported that the next original Marvel Studios franchise would be Black Panther (you can see the article here) and despite no official confirmation or denial from either Disney or Marvel speculation on who should play the legendary Wakanda warrior has been all over the internet.

Today one of the co-stars from The Hurt Locker, Anthony Mackie, had this to say about his aspirations to be in a Marvel movie:

I was hoping I would be the Incredible Hulk, but that didn’t work out.  I would love to be a part of [‘Black Panther’]. I love Black Panther and I love the story behind it. It would be cool to be a part of it.

So what do you guys think?  Personally I think this could work.  He’s go the acting chops to pull off the character and the right build to be a believable prince of Wakanda.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney and Marvel could be considering him for the part.  Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
