Creating a unique tale surrounding a demonic and angelic drug has certainly given this storied heroine a lot to chew on in these dark, dreary and somewhat repetitive days.  Our normally scarlet clad vampire is doing what she can to put a stop to the destruction brought forth by this nightmarish concoction that’s literally burning people from the inside out, and this creative team is not going to make any immediate resolution easy.

Tom Sniegoski handles the script and from the first page to the last panel he effortlessly charts a fun romp that takes its audience literally on a walk between both good and evil.  He quite handily writes the voices of the lead characters with a competent level of precision that brings forth what can only be described as a necessary amount of development.  To the adventure’s detriment the narrative at several points is bogged down by unnecessary narration and over explanation creating a literal weight around this tale’s metaphorical shoulders.

The art by Johnny Desjardins is simply top notch as he effortlessly illustrates hefty conversations with the right levels of both style and finesse.  His pencil strokes bring about a strongly detailed world that’s befitting of both the franchise and the context of this jaunt.  Each panel ebbs and flows with a cadence that brings forth authenticity while belying legitimacy in a hyper active journey that’s sure to get messier before it reaches its conclusion.

Vampirella Strikes #3 is nothing short of being a solid entry in a side-series that has certainly proven its worth.  Recommended.
