After three issues is this really a character that should have her own comic book series?  Read on to find out.

The official description from Aspen:

When her life comes crashing down on her- literally- Trish discovers she is more alone than she ever could have anticipated! After the startling revelation at the conclusion of last issue, Trish must now deal with a devastating tidal wave that threatens to destroy what little remains in her life, as well as an even more shocking discovery that she may indeed be the cause of everything terrible that is happening to her!

Trish Out of Water 3_CWhen it comes to this particular title, all I can say is that I think the creators have found something.  By introducing this protagonist into an already familiar world they’ve re-energized my interest in the Blue and I honestly am at the edge of my seat as I feverishly flip through its pages.

Vince Hernandez pens the script and the seasoned scribe does an absolutely marvelous job keeping a strong pace while also developing the primary.  We get some light explanations to her current situation, while seeing torture, violence and all the good stuff a run of the mill action yarn would carry.  But what separates it from the norm is the steady hand that guides it, as the author gives his players enough room to grow which makes the whole thing feel rather unique.  In short: the story is a very strong component and worth the price of admission all on its own.

Th are by Giuseppe Cafaro is top notch.  We see some tremendously detailed panels, as the illustrator gets to fully let loose within the confines of a narrative that calls on quite a bit of variety.  He hits all the major development points while also crafting some breathtaking images.  I was particular impressed with the facial expressions found here, they were fluid and functional as they fit the dialogue in every sense of the word.

Trish Out of Water #3 is another entry in the library of a franchise, that needs to be on your pull-list.  Highly recommended.
